My new project is painting the ceiling in my office to resemble a sun set/rise. I have a pinky orange, an orange, a dark red orange, and a light blue. It was already painted a dark blue. After seeing a beautiful sunset the other day, I’m happy with the colors I chose. The ceiling had glow in the dark stars on it. When the room became my office I took the stars down. Some of the goo that held them up stayed on the ceiling. Many of the spots I’m painting are covering up those areas.

The process I have decided to take was to paint blotches on the ceiling of each color. I will lay on the floor and look up at the ceiling to see where I want to expand what I have painted. After sitting with this for a few days I have become happier with the choices of the colors. Not to mention the crazy weather, it just confirmed my colors.

The final product, which still may get some updates, is an abstract sunset/rise that I may or may not put glow in the dark stars on it. I still may add more blotches or coats to it, but for the moment I am happy with the results. I feel like I am getting a spiritual hug when I look up at it, which is the point.
